Samantha’s Pick: The Laminated Graphic Glass in the UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital

Samantha’s pick is the custom laminated Graphic Glass installed in our UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital project.  This glass features a custom-printed interlayer laminated between a frosted back glass and a clear surface glass.  For your own project, this glass can be specified with your own custom graphic or print, and can dialed-in with your chosen translucency and transparency.

In Samantha’s own words:

“I like how this product showcases our custom graphic capabilities, and our ability to adjust our interlayer to accommodate for backlighting or privacy.

Archetype’s advanced laminating process allows for adjustable translucency.  We can precisely customize the interlayer to a specific level of opacity that balances light transmission with privacy.  Combined with your custom graphic, this flexibility allows you to achieve visual interest with light and pattern.”

Amy’s Pick: The Custom Interpainted™ Fabric Glass at 42 Broad Street Mt. Vernon

Amy’s pick is this custom Interpainted™ fabric interlayer laminated glass with a frosted surface, and it’s a beauty. It is shown here smartly framing the reception desk at our 42 Broad Street project in Mt. Vernon, New York.

“When you consider all the customizations working together in this one product – the textile interlayer, the Interpainted™ color, and the frosted surface – it’s easy to see why you won’t get this anywhere else.  It works beautifully here as a partition wall, and I would love to see it in a salon or spa.”

Josh’s Pick: The custom Interpainted™ Glass at Aesop West Broadway Retail

Josh’s pick is this custom Interpainted™ laminated glass installed at our Aesop West Broadway retail project.  Simply manufactured with an opaque back mirror, a custom-matched Interpainted™ layer, and a clear surface glass, the glass in this installation *is* the design, delivering a profound and immersive monochromatic experience.

In Josh’s own words:

“Color matching is my favorite part of the job.  Using a variety of dyes and pastes as tools, I work to replicate the customer’s specified color in laminated glass.  It can be daunting at times, but always rewarding when you get it just right.

The product I chose conveys the serenity of nature while also maintaining a sharp, modern look.  Here, Archetype’s customization options go beyond color: added opacity, the use of mirror, and added surface texture conspire to perfect this space.”

Kiki’s Pick: The “Cinnamon” Antique Mirror at the Hyatt Regency Denver

Kiki’s pick is the custom “Cinnamon” Antique Mirror recently installed at out Hyatt Regency Denver lobby bar.  Installed as both custom wall cladding and a mirrored feature wall, Archetype’s concepting of this custom laminated glass originally used actual cinnamon as a proof of concept, testifying to our ability to think outside the box and meet any challenge.

In Kiki’s own words: “Our client asked for antique-inspired laminated mirror with a powdery rust look.  I would love to see this custom decorative mirror laminated with a wire interlayer.  I think it would be amazing as wall cladding or a bar back.”
